Pontnewynydd AFC reserves started to show their potential and started to bond as a team as they took a daunting trip to HMP Prescoed. Although losing 4-2 on the day the game could have easily have gone the other way. Prescoed’s superior fitness and conceding two late goals sealed the result. However, Pontnewynydd AFC was awarded the 5-0 win due to the league ruling about Prescoed’s travel restriction. Furthermore, the fact that the reserve team started to show their potential was all in all a good day for the reserve team.
